Honkai: The Collapse
Honkai Impact 3rd takes place in an alternate universe that is undergoing an event called “Honkai” or “The Collapse.” It is described as a cyclic phenomenon. It is also led by a malevolent force that can turn humans into undead creatures. On top of that, these creatures can convert selected individuals into “Herrschers,” who can trigger apocalyptic events.
Like most stories, Honkai Impact 3rd’s plot comes with heroes to counter the antagonists, and this is where the Valkyries come into play. The story begins with the introduction of Valkyries-in-training. These are the spunky and lighthearted Kiana Kaslana, the kind and caring Mei Raiden, and the cold but protective Bronya Zaychik. These three are the main characters of the game.
The Rise of the Valkyries
Valkyries or Valkyrja are skilled fighters of the Schicksal Organization. These brave warriors are the main counterparts of the undead and godlike, Houkai. As of writing, there are 40 Valkyries available in the game. However, these Valkyries are not necessarily different types of characters. They are mostly copies of just one character, except that each of them wear different types of battlesuits. The battlesuits actually affect each Valkyrie’s performance and powerful abilities.
With that in mind, let’s take a quick overview of the top and bottom three of these characters using the community tier list from TierMaker. High-Tier Characters of Honkai Impact 3rd
Tier SSS shows the most powerful and deadly characters of Honkai Impact 3rd. Given their abilities, these characters are also not that easy to obtain or upgrade. Let us take a quick overview of some of the baddest characters in the game.
Rita Rossweisse
The first character that belongs to the SSS tier is Rita Rossweisse. As the Vice-Captain of the elite “Immortal Blades,” having this character on your team will give you an advantage. In addition, this Schicksal Maid wields a powerful Scythe and comes with three battlesuits. These are the Umbral Rose, Stalker Phantom Iron, and AOI Knight Moonsoul.
Murata Himeko
Murata Himeko is an interesting character that sits on the very top and at the very bottom of the tier list. If you look through the high-tier list, Murata Himeko in her Scarlet Knight Striker Flame battlesuit is at the very top of the list. However, the same Murata Himeko (wearing the Valkyrie Triumph battlesuit) falls at the very bottom of the list. Again, keep in mind that each Valkyrie’s ability would differ depending on the battlesuit she wears.
Yae Sakura
The third SSS-ranked character is Yae Sakura. She is also known as the cursed witch, Big Sister, and Heretic Miko. The version you are seeing on top of the tier is Yae in her Flame Sakitama battlesuit. In that battlesuit, she wields the iconic Wakizashi blade. Yae’s backstory is anything but pleasant since this powerful Valkyrie was born with a curse. As to what that curse is? It is for you to find out.
Low-Tier Characters of Honkai Impact 3rd
At the bottom of the tier list lies three characters, one of which is Murata Himeko in her Valkyrie Triumph Battlesuit. And below are 2 more characters who are considered low-tier.
Raiden Mei
The first character from the left is Raiden Mei in her Crimson Impulse Battlesuit. In this form, Raiden Mei wields the powerful Tachi. Raiden Mei is also the daughter of the CEO of Massive Electric Raiden Ryoma. However, due to economic fraud, Raiden’s cheerful personality faded. She is now a withdrawn and solitary individual.
Bronya Zaychik
The third character at the bottom tier is Bronya Zaychik in her Snowy Snipper battlesuit. Despite being ranked at the bottom of the list, Bronya is still considered as a powerful Valkyrie. She is a deadly assassin who wields some of the most powerful weapons in the game.
Honkai Impact 3 is a skill-based free action RPG game that any gaming enthusiast should check out. You do not need to have the most powerful characters to progress, but one or two strong Valkyries on your roster will make the challenges more bearable.
