The Best Video Games of 2021 So Far

Reviews

2021 so far has been a year filled with ups and downs. However, even though we’re still in the midst of the pandemic, we’re still able to get through with it with the help of many forms of entertainment. One of these is video games, and each one of these games published deserves a round of applause for giving us something to look forward to. All of them are great and offer an immersive experience and exciting gameplay. Some games are better than the others but thanks to these games, they made our 2021 even better.

Before the year ends, it would be amazing to acknowledge the games that moved us, excited us, and kept us moving forward. Yes, the challenges that 2021 brought to us (and will be brought to us) are hard to forget, but there’s always a better year to look forward to. And so, let’s make sure to say ‘Thank You’ to some of the games that helped us forget all our stress by zoning out of the real world and into the world of video games. The list is still ongoing but so far, these are the games that are a hit this 2021.

Hitman 3

The third sequel to the Hitman franchise, Hitman 3, is unlike any ordinary game. If you thought it was an action game or a first-person shooter game, you are wrong. It’s actually a puzzle game where you take on the task of taking out a target.

There are six exciting levels, and each of these levels will test your problem-solving skills. For example, how are you going to take out the target without getting caught? How are you going to kill them? What method? Well, it’s entirely up to you. If you have played the first two games of the game franchise, you will see how far Hitman has gone in terms of storyline, gameplay, and mechanics.

Maquette

If you can’t get enough of charming puzzle games, then Maquette is another addition that you need to check out (if you haven’t yet). It will challenge your heart and your head. It’s set in a dream-like San Francisco town, where everything you do in the small world will affect the big world. As simple as picking something up, putting them down can change everything. A couple narrates it during every stage of their relationship. It’s a love story; one that you have never expected. It’s about how a tiny spark can ignite and create a huge flame.

Resident Evil Village

If you’re into monsters, such as vampires, werewolves, zombies, and Frankensteins – then Resident Evil Village is the best video game for you. It has an overall great story about a man named Ethan who will learn how to fight off monsters after his trip to Baker homestead. In addition, it has both the creepy and action-packed atmosphere that will make Resident Evil Village your number one favorite. It has a rough average playtime of 11 hours, so be sure to make way for an exciting adventure against monsters and the evil lurking in Resident Evil.

Cozy Grove

One of the most delightful and appealing video games out there is Cozy Grove–a mix of Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. It operates in real-time, much like Animal Crossing, where you can see the turn of the day into night. You are invited to check in each day, but it’s not as demanding as other games and not as overwhelming as well.

In this game, you need to finish specific tasks or objectives each day. What makes this game great is that it’s easier for you to put the game down after finishing that one objective. The tasks are also very endearing, where you get to help the spirits on the island of Cozy Grove. Get to know their stories, failures, successes, and regrets. It has a witty atmosphere with snippets of helpful conversations.

If you like the plots of the games listed on this blog, now is the time to try them out. Play these games on PC or on any platform you prefer.
