Ghost of Tsushima is undoubtedly one of the biggest non-disappointing video game launches in 2020. Compared to some of the highly anticipated video game titles of the year, Jin Sakai and his humble samurai did not fail the gaming populace in terms of narrative and gameplay. Ghost of Tsushima is not a perfect game, like most new releases, it has its own set of flaws, bugs, and glitches. These faults however are nothing that a patch or content update cannot fix. With that said, one of the brilliant attributes of the game is that you only need to pay once. Ghost of Tsushima, for the most part, is the opposite of other AAA video games that monetize every new content update.
Speaking of updates, Ghost of Tsushima Legends is an expansion that caught the PlayStation players by surprise during its announcement in August 2020. The expansion features new trophies, a new game plus, four new classes based on Japanese folklore, and two new single/four-player missions. The most interesting part of this expansion is that it went live in October 2020 as a free download. As impressive as that feat may be, Sucker Punch is just getting started in unloading new contents and improvements for the game.
With that in mind, let’s take a quick overview of the latest content drop delivered by Sucker Punch last December 18, 2020.
Ghost of Tsushima Update Version 1.18 Patch Notes

- This update will also enable the “Find players only with microphones” feature.
- A new feature called Party ownership is also added to the game.
- This update also includes minor bug fixes.
As you may notice, Sucker Punch is still developing new add-ons and features for their highly acclaimed game. To think that this is just part of the follow-up update for the “Legendary” expansion. In addition to the new features, players also have the opportunity to unlock legends outfits inspired by God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Shadow of the Colossus, and Bloodborne. These themed costumes will run until January 15, 2021.
These improvements and along with the new features only proves that Sucker Punch is making Ghost of Tsushima an investment-worthy game that players will cherish for years to come. If only the other companies would follow this example, then, the world of gaming will be a much better place than it is today. Nevertheless, if you own a PlayStation 4 and looking for a game that will give more than you have paid for, then, Ghost of Tsushima is a highly recommended title for you to check out.
