Plants Vs Zombies took the world by storm a few years ago. Their plant-based tower defense game provided millions of players hours of fun. The concept of using sentient cartoonish flora to battle against the zombie horde is both unique and engaging. Now another title from the same developers is coming to multiple platforms worldwide. And it’s not the same game as before.
Plants Vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville is a popular zombie shooter game that took the world by storm in 2019. Many players became addicted to playing the game, especially the multiplayer mode. You get to choose whether you’ll pick zombies or plants and fight in a variety of game modes available. The game was originally released for Microsoft Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
But now, the game is going to be available to the Nintendo Switch. It gives Switch console owners a chance to join in on the fun. Read more about this development here.
Action-Packed Zombie Fight on The Nintendo Switch
The announcement came from Electronic Arts in a press release detailing the arrival of the popular zombie shooting game to Nintendo Switch. The Complete Edition of the game is going to be available. Switch players can expect to get access to all 23 characters, complete with customizable items. All the characters and items can be unlocked by playing the game. No need to purchase them using premium currency or real money.
They can also expect to play all the missions, campaigns, and other quests that the game has to offer. PopCap Games is also taking advantage of the Nintendo Switch’s portability, making the game playable online and offline. This will allow Switch users to play this game anywhere and anytime, even without an internet connection. Of course, you will need an internet connection to play the online multiplayer game modes. Aside from that, Switch users will also have access to all prize maps and other rewards that the game has to offer.
Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is the first PVZ game that’s coming to the Nintendo Switch. The developers were also excited at taking advantage of the Switch’s motion controls to provide unique gameplay to the players. They can use it for aiming and also other things. Players are provided with a full range of settings to help adjust the game’s controls and gameplay to their playstyle.
The Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is available on the Nintendo Switch on March 19, 2021. It can be purchased at $40 and a pre-order for the game is available.
The Possibility Cross-Play Multiplayer
You’re probably wondering if cross-play is going to be available on Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. After all, it would be fun if Switch gamers can also play against PS4, Xbox One, and PC players. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like cross-play is going to be available. Though it wasn’t mentioned during the announcement, PVZ Battle For Neighborville currently doesn’t support cross-play.
This means that Nintendo Switch players will only be able to play this game against other Switch owners. This can be a bummer, especially in the beginning since there won’t be many players playing the game yet. As for when cross-play will be available, no one knows yet. But it is something that many players are clamoring for. It might be just a matter of time before the developers listen to the players and make cross-play available.
The Plants Vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville coming to Nintendo Switch is a welcome addition. It allows Switch users a chance to play this awesome game. It would have been better, though, if a cross-play platform is available. It would be fun to see for Switch players to be able to play and battle against players on another platform. Hopefully, this becomes available soon.
