Last October 2021, Fortnite came out with a game mode that reminded players of another popular game, Among Us. People thought that this is an official crossover between Epic Games and Innersloth. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as Epic admitted that the new game mode was just inspired by the popular action multiplayer. Furthermore, the two developers teased future collaborations and we are finally getting it with the Among Us and Innersloth collaboration.

The collaboration results in new cosmetics that players can use in Fortnite. So let’s discuss in more detail what this collaboration offers and if there will be more in the future.
Among Us Fortnite Cosmetics
Epic Games and Innersloth’s crossover results in cosmetics that players can use in Fortnite. The cosmetics are the Crewmate Black Bling and the Distraction Dance Emote. The Back Bling will include ten styles that are based on the crewmate colors in Among Us. But the available colors are the original colors, which means Red, Blue, Pink, Green, Orange, Black, White, Yellow, Purple, and Brown. These are great additions, as players can now assemble their crewmate squad when they play Fortnite.
Distraction Dance Emote
These cosmetics can provide additional excitement and entertainment when playing with other people. The Distraction Dance Emote is also a great addition and it comes from Innersloth’s The Henry Stickman Collection. Moreover, this dance emote allows players to dance their way out of any situation. These are great for Fortnite and make the game more fun to play. However, how do you get these Fortnite cosmetics? Let’s discuss this in the next section.
How To Get The Among Us Cosmetics?
Acquiring the Among Us cosmetics to use in Fortnite is very simple and easy to do. You just need to purchase Among Us from the Epic Games Store and you’ll receive these items as part of the deal. This promo started on June 9, 2022, and will end on June 9, 2023, at 11 AM ET. But what if you already have the Among Us game? That’s okay since you can still acquire these Among Us cosmetics.
This time, you just need to purchase one of the Stars Pack available on the Epic Games Store. Once you purchase it, the Among Us cosmetics will be sent to your Fortnite account. It’s that simple. Furthermore, you only need to make the purchase once. However, you must purchase the Stars Pack only on the Epic Games Store. You won’t get free cosmetics if you purchase stars on another platform.
Therefore, you’ll need to have an Epic Games account to get the Among Us cosmetics. Though there’s still a lot of time left to acquire these freebies, Epic Games has you covered in case you miss the opportunity to get the Crewmate Black Bling and Distraction Dance Emote for free. After the promo has ended, the Black Bling and Distraction Dance Emote will be available on the Epic Games Store at a later date.
It’s also worth noting that once you have the Among Us cosmetics, you don’t need to play Fortnite on the Epic Games launcher. The cosmetics will be on your account, which means you can use them, regardless of the platform you’ll play the game on.
Are There Other Collaborations Available?
The Among Us and Fortnite collab is the first official collaboration between Epic Games and Innersloth. But there’s a possibility that more in the future can happen. For now, this is the only collaboration that they have between them. However, both games have other collaborations with other brands or games.
Fortnite & Marvel Skin
Before the Among Us collaboration, Epic Games have a collaboration with Marvel. It’s the unique Fortnite Spider-Man skin, which is exclusively for Fortnite and is called Spider-Man Zero. The new skin is part of the new comic series and became available last June 8. But this is not a new collaboration between Marvel and Epic Games since the two brands collaborated before like the recent Scarlet Witch skin and Doctor Strange 2.
Fortnite & Lucasfilm
Chapter 3 Season 3 of the Fortnite Battle Pass is full of Lucasfilm collaborations with Darth Vader from Star Wars and Indiana Jones being available. These are following the all-Marvel Season 2 Battle Pass. The Darth Vader skin is will be the reward for tier 100 unlock while Indiana Jones will join the battle pass as a guest character. Aside from these two, other items you can get are Star Wars-themed like the Imperial Shuttle glider and the Probe Droid backpack. Plus, there are Boba Fett Jetpacks to use. These are great additions that players, especially fans of these two franchises, will look forward to.
Among Us Collabs
For Among Us, their latest collaboration before Epic Games was with the Ratchet & Clank series. This collab yielded new cosmetics to the action multiplayer that’s inspired by the popular series. Another collab that InnerSloth has is with the SCREAM franchise. It resulted in the infamous SCREAM character being available as a cosmetic for the game.
