Nintendo Direct: Big Announcements for 2021

News

2021 is shaping up to be Nintendo’s biggest year yet with plenty of exciting exclusive games. The big news was aired on Feb 17, 2021, in a live stream on YouTube for a total of 50 minutes. You can check out the full stream if you want to catch up, but you can always just read on through for the brief recap of all the important scoops on Nintendo Direct:

New Challengers in Smash

Super Smash Bros Ultimate keeps on expanding its roster. This time around, it’s the lovely ladies from Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Pyra and Mythra. They will both come to the game this March, and honestly, it’s just going to make the roster more exciting.

Fall Guys

Fall Guys is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer 2021 along with a brand-new season.

The Outer Wilds

The award-winning The Outer Wilds is also finally coming to Switch this summer at the same time as Fall Guys.

 

Famicon Detective Club The Missing Heir

Famicom Detective Club

Nintendo Switch will also be having an adventure game called Famicom Detective Club. The gaming giant will release two narrative mysteries of the game: The Missing Heir and The Girl Who Stands Behind. Furthermore, Famicon Detective Club will be released on May 14.

Samurai Warriors 5

From nobody’s expectations, Samurai Warriors is finally returning in a fifth installment. By the looks of it, it will be amazing as ever. It’s coming this summer too

Legend of Mana

This PS1 classic game will finally have its Switch version this June 24.

Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter fans, behold. The new installment named Monster Hunter Rise is coming to Switch this March 26. In fact, it is the most awaited game of 2021 on the Switch.

Mario Golf: Super Rush

Another Mario game will be coming to Switch but in a different sport. Don’t miss Mario Golf: Super Rush on June 25th.

Tales from the Borderlands

Tales from the Borderlands is one of the best from Telltale, and it’s pretty cool that it gets a Switch port on March 24.

Capcom Arcade Stadium

Throw yourself back to the golden age of Capcom arcade games with Capcom Arcade Stadium. This is available now on Nintendo Switch.

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse has to be one of the most underrated games of all time. It’s got everything from slapstick humor to unique adventure gameplay. Moreover, it’s an Xbox classic that is soon to hit on Switch this March 16.

No More Heroes III

No More Heroes III is another long-awaited sequel from Grasshopper Manufacture. This hack and slash action-adventure game will be coming to Switch this August 27.

Neon White

Neon White is a unique FPS game from the creators of Donut County. It will be released this Winter.

Plants vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville

Battle for Neighborville has to be one of the best PvZ games that not many people talk to. Make sure to check it out on Switch this 19th of March.

Miitopia

Finally, a social world for the Miis is coming to Switch. Don’t forget to check out Miitopia, which will be released soon on May 21.

Knockout City

Knockout City is a unique and modernized dodgeball game from EA Games. It will soon be available to Switch on May 21.

Hades

The award-winning Roguelike game is finally getting a Switch release this March 19. Make sure you won’t miss out!

Ninja Gaiden Master Collection

The ultimate ninja hack n’ slash trilogy makes an HD return on the Switch this June 10. Aside from playing the original characters like Ryu Hayabusa, you will also play four female characters, including Ayane, Rachel, Momiji, and Kasumi. You will also be playing three titles: NINJA GAIDEN Sigma, NINJA GAIDEN Sigma 2, and NINJA Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge.

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD is one of the best Zelda games there is. The good news is, it’s coming out on July 16 on Nintendo Switch.

Splatoon 3

As per Nintendo, Splatoon 3 will be coming out sometime in 2022.
