This year, the event where tech companies showcase the latest innovation in technology didn’t take place at a grand location. Instead, it was a virtual event that’s done completely online. It began on January 11 and ended on January 14. Despite being a virtual event, close to 2000 exhibitors participated.

Nvidia RTX 3060 Arrives in Late Feb

One of the gaming-related announcements during the CES 2021 is the arrival of the new Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card. The latest video card will come with 128GB GDDR6 memory making it the highest among the current RTX 30 series. This is exciting news for gamers t as they can now play the most graphically demanding titles. The RTX 3060 is scheduled to arrive in late February.

About this, Nvidia also announced the arrival of RTX 30-series laptops. This means you can start purchasing laptops that already have Nvidia’s RTX 30-series graphics card. These new rigs take portable gaming and content creation to a whole new level. The great thing about this is that several laptops now boast 2560×1440, which will take full advantage of the latest graphics card.

Lenovo Showcased The Lavie Mini

Lenovo also showcased the Lavie Mini, which is a joint venture with NEC. It’s a compact computer that features an 8-inch touchscreen with 1920×1200 resolution and an 11th Gen Intel Processor with Xe graphics. The inspiration for this gaming laptop is the portable Nintendo Switch. Lenovo and NEC wanted to introduce a portable gaming laptop that is similar to the portability of the Nintendo console.

Though it is only a concept as of now, it’s something that’s not far-fetched to see soon. After all, the Nintendo Switch used to be just a concept as well. But look at it now, it’s a very popular and well-liked gaming console.

Razer Showcased Project Brooklyn

Well-known developer of gaming hardware, software, and systems, Razer, also showcased a concept during the CES 2021. It’s called the Project Brooklyn, and it’s an all-in-one game station. It’s a gaming chair with a built-in integrated tray table and a curved monitor. The monitor will be located at the back of the chair that you can take out. Then it will be placed above you while the curved monitor is spread at your front at face level. It’s a cool and unique-looking gaming chair.

AMD Announces Ryzen 5000 HX Series Chips

AMD also had a major announcement during the CES 2021. They revealed that they will soon release the Ryzen 5000 HX Series processors. These new chips are designed for gaming and will likely be one of the most powerful processors available. The Ryzen 5000 HX will be the chip that many laptops with the RTX 30 series graphics card will use. This processor is currently the most powerful in the market as Intel has yet to reveal theirs. r.

Aside from the latest processor, there are also going to be two new AMD RX graphics cards in the works. Though no detail was provided, it likely will be announced sometime this year.

Asus’ New ROG Swift 360Hz Monitor

Probably the last important gaming-related announcement is Asus’ latest monitor. This new PC screen is the ROG Swift 360Hz, which will have the highest refresh rate right now. This will result in a gaming experience that is very much life-like. Add in the fact that this monitor is 24.5-inch, which makes it a perfect fit for any gaming rig.
