How To Unlock Fade In Apex Legends Mobile & Updates About The Game

Guides

The first exclusive character that Apex Legends Mobile got was Fade, whose real name is Ignacio Huamani. First, the character was a big hit because of his demeanor and unique appearance. Players loved him even more when they finally started playing him. His flashy abilities made him a fun and exciting character to use in the game. But how do you use Fade in Apex Legends Mobile?

How must you get the first-exclusive character in the game and use him? In this article, we’ll discover how to unlock Fade in Apex Legends Mobile and get any other details you need to acquire him. Keep reading on this post!

Unlocking Fade in Apex Legends Mobile

Fade is the first mobile-exclusive character that was introduced to Apex Legends Mobile. He emerged as a free character in the same period the game came out in May 2022. At that time, unlocking the character was as simple as collecting Fade pieces, tokens. Once you have enough, you use it to exchange for the character. Fade Pieces were acquired from the Season One Battle Pass, and you must reach level 25 to get Fade Pieces and unlock the exclusive character.

Apex Legends Mobile also made Fade free via the Take Back Event. It was an event where you needed to complete challenges to earn points. Once you’ve reached 850 points, you will get Fade for free. And if you happen only to start playing the game right now, you’ve missed out on the events that allow you to get Fade for free. But that doesn’t mean you can’t acquire Fade anymore. He is still available — for purchasing.

How to Get Fade in Apex Legends Mobile (Without Events)

You can only unlock Fade in Apex Legends Mobile if you spend 750 Syndicate Gold. It’s the premium in-game currency; you can only acquire it if you spend money. The game offers bundles and packs for you to acquire Syndicate Gold. You can also earn them from the Premium Battle Pass, which you can only unlock by spending Syndicate Gold again.

As stated above, it’s unfortunate if you’re only playing the game right now since you missed out on getting Fade. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t free legends you can acquire in the game. Apex Legends Mobile is in Battle Pass Season Four, meaning a new legend is free.

Who’s The Free Legends in Battle Pass Season Four?

Apex Legends Mobile Battle Pass Season Four began on January 11, 2023, and will be in effect for about three months. This means players have until the end of April to acquire the new legend. The new legend is Horizon, the Gravitational Manipulator and an attacker in the game. Like with Fade, she can be acquired once you reach Battle Pass level 25. And you don’t have to pay for the premium of the Battle Pass.

What makes Horizon a great legend is that she has control over gravity. She can do Spacewalk and Gravity Lift. Her ultimate is Black Hole, which pulls players in, making it a good crowd-control ability. Pretty exciting, huh?

Update on Apex Legends Mobile

As great as this all sounds, there is heartbreaking news about Apex Legends Mobile. Last January 31, 2023, Electronic Arts announced they were shutting down the game. The developers said that, though the game started great, they said that it’s falling short of their expectations.

“Following a strong start, the content pipeline for Apex Legends Mobile has begun to fall short of that bar for quality, quantity, and cadence. For this reason, after months of working with our development partner, we mutually decided to sunset our mobile game.”

EA stopped providing in-app purchases using real money as of Jan. 31, 2023 (it means you can’t acquire Fade unless you already have Syndicate Gold saved up). All purchases available in the game are only those you can buy using Syndicate Gold. And players can use and spend them until May 1, 2023, 4 PM PDT.

After that, the game shuts down in all regions, and no one can access it anymore. You can check the blog FAQ of EA to have some of your questions answered. You can also contact EA through this link if the FAQs page does not answer your questions.

Final Thoughts

The game had a ton of promise to its dedicated players. But it’s a shame the game couldn’t continue its promising start. If you’re starting with the game, you can still enjoy playing it since you can still get some characters from it. If you’ve played the game since it launched, it’s best that you spend all your Syndicate Gold (if you purchased some) to ensure you get your money’s worth.
