One of the latest fighting games you can play right now is MultiVersus. A free-to-play crossover fighting game developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Though the game has only been around for roughly two months, it has become a game for many people. And one of the reasons for this is the available characters. Just imagine pitting Shaggy against Superman and finally proving that the always frightened character is overpowered. So we have a MultiVersus roster leak for you!
In this article, we’ll identify the rumored or leaked new characters that will come to the game. We’ll also talk about the already confirmed up-and-coming characters, so you’ll know who to expect to become available soon.
The Playable Characters
Before we discuss the upcoming and leaked new characters, let’s first talk about who is currently available. There are already epic and great characters available for you to play. After all, the game wouldn’t be that popular right now if the developers didn’t include iconic characters. The game currently has 19 playable characters. Two of them are mentioned earlier in Shaggy of the Scooby Doo Franchise and Superman of the DC Universe.
Joining these two are Batman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn of the DC Universe, and Velma of the Scooby Doo Franchise. There’s also Finn the Human and Jake the Dog from Adventure Time, and Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. Gizmo from Gremlins, as well as The Iron Giant, is available to play. Bugs Bunny and Taz from Looney Tunes, and Lebron James of Space Jam: A New Legacy are also present.
Completing the MultiVersus roster are Reindog from Player First Games, Morty Smith from Rick and Morty, Garnet and Steven Universe from Steven Universe, and Tom and Jerry. All 19 can be played in MultiVersus. But that number will soon climb as there are already new characters coming soon to the game. Let’s look at who will soon join the roster.
MultiVersus Roster Leak – The Confirmed Up & Coming Characters
There are already three new characters that will soon join the MultiVersus roster. These three are already part of the game’s official roster, but with a coming soon tag. One of the new characters is Rick from Rick and Morty, which brings the two protagonists of the popular cartoon franchise into the game. There’s also Black Adam from the DC Universe. The supervillain antihero will be joining the other powerful DC Universe characters and bringing destruction to MultiVersus.
Lastly, there’s Stripe from the Gremlins franchise. He’s the leader of the First Batch of gremlins and is the main antagonist in the first movie. These three new characters will bring MultiVersus’ roster to 22 total characters. But that’s not going to be the full list of characters the game will have yet. If you look at the available in-game purchases, its Premium Founder’s Pack has 30 character tokens. It means that there are still eight more to come out soon. Who those characters are is anybody’s guess since the developers are not yet revealing anything.
However, there was a leak posted on Reddit (the post was already removed, but the thread is still active). It revealed not only the game but also some of the planned characters. Let’s look at who they are in the next section.
The Leaked & Rumored Characters
Though the original post for the leaked characters on Reddit was already taken down, many people and sites have already copied the list of characters. Some of the characters shown in the leaked post are already available in the game like Lebron James, Morty, and Gizmo. Therefore, there are still more characters, who were part of the leak, along with the game, but have yet to be released. These characters are:
- The Joker – DC Universe
- Raven – DC Universe
- Daenerys – Game of Thrones
- The Hound – Game of Thrones
- Scooby Doo – Scooby Doo franchise
- Marvin the Martian – Looney Tunes
- Godzilla – Godzilla franchise
- Wicked Witch – Wizard of Oz
There are a total of eight characters that are part of the reveal but have yet to be released. So they’re likely part of the first 30 characters that MultiVersus will have available. Of course, there’s no guarantee yet that they are the ones you can expect to come out soon, but who knows?
Aside from these leaked characters, there was also a list of planned characters the developers will soon introduce to the game. The rumored characters to be soon introduced are Johnny Bravo from the Johnny Bravo franchise, Fred Flintstones from the Flintstones franchise, Daffy or Duck Dodgers from Looney Tunes, and The Powerpuff Girls (all three will consist of one fighter) from the Powerpuff Girls franchise. Other planned characters are Samurai Jack from Samurai Jack, Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, Ben 10 from Ben 10, Ted Lasso from Ted Lasso, and The Animaniacs (all will be one fighter).

No one knows yet if the characters listed in this section will come out or not. But one thing is certain, the developers of MultiVersus will continue to add fun and exciting new characters to the game.
